The outside of the Ann Hamilton Sound Tower, on the Oliver Ranch, Geyserville, California, where I performed this past weekend (June 4th and 5th, 2011), in "Tower Ring," composed by Pauline Oliveros. Performance audiences and visitors take a winding path from the ranch parking lot, including crossing a foot bridge across a stream amidst beautiful oak trees, to reach the Tower. From the top of the tower and at other points along the path, they enjoy a panoramic view of the Alexander Valley wine country in Sonoma County, California.
The audience and performers crawl through two different window openings (not doors) on either side of the tower to enter and exit! Please see other photos in this set, of our rehearsals; I'll be adding more rehearsal photos, plus starting a new performance photo set in the coming week or two.
