For CreativeMornings talk #95, Public Domain Advocate and Author Carl Malamud will talk about his philosophy of "Gyan Satyagraha," and how that translates into action on numerous fronts. Topics to be addressed will be the Public Library of India effort and the issue of making the laws of a democracy available to the people. Vision without action is just talk, but vision with the wrong action leads nowhere.
Carl draws inspiration from the great actions of the last century, particularly the liberation of India and the efforts of Gandhi and Ambedkar, as well as the U.S. civil rights movement and efforts around the global such as the decades-long fight of Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
