Moving Day

During a 2011 visit to Yellowstone I checked out the nest of a Northern Flicker (Red-shafted) photographed during my 2010 visit (at Tower Junction). Seconds after setting up my camera I captured this amazing scene. The Flicker is removing one of its eggs presumably to a new nest. I have never seen anything like it and may never again.
