Stormtrooper Groom's Cake

    Newer Older

Unbeknownst to my fiance at the time, I snuck away to a friend's house two days before our wedding (told him I had a meeting in Seattle) and made this groom's cake. He was SOOO surprised!!! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so all these fuzzy photos are from my treo. 9/6/2007

Your cake is awesome. My son is having a Star Wars party for his 8th birthday at the end of this month. If we lived in CA, I'd have to hire you to make one. However, since I'm in NC, any tips you can give me on how I can recreate this cake on my own?

The Force is definitely w/you! I photograph weddings on the side (mikemccoyphotography.com) and while I have seen some really nice cakes they truly don't even come close to yours! Incredible!

This Storm trooper cake is amazing! Its my sons 6th birthday next month and after looking through tons and tons of starwars pictures to gain ideas on what kind of cake to make he's wanting your one, and all i can say is Oh Crap!

I usually give the kids the Womens weekly kids cakes books and have them choose one out of that and then i stress out over how to make it for weeks leading up to the occasion.

So now that he wants your one, I'm crying! can you please give me any pointers, what type of cake, is it on a stand, how did you get it looking so smooth.

I appreciate you are a very busy person, but I'd be so grateful for some help and advise.

      kind regards
Nicky from Australia (yes you reached us all the way over here too with that masterpiece)
