Shot with Canon EOS 40D + Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4,0 L IS USM

I have a unexplainable tendency to dislike blurred photos (but only if I have shot them).

I like many artistic blur shot from other artists, but I got this feeling in my heart, that when a shot is blurred, I failed as a photographer. Its stupid, but I cannot change it.

In this case it is different, and this is why I like it so much.

This was the second or third frame of the shot, I took some more after it, and all of them were much sharper, but they did not convey the feeling as good as this one does.

The scene was about the motion, and it needs blur.

It was amazing, especially since I arrived just on time for the blue hour.

I would like to read your opinion. Do I like it only because its blurred or is there something to it?

Be honest, I appreciate your comment!!

I have to say I am not keen on the image Ivo and I do like certain low focus images, but for you it evokes good memories and that should be good enough.......I talk to many people and we are all so different and diverse in our tastes that to please one is to displease another, so as long as you like it, that's ok.

I, on the other hand, agree totally with your tastes, so michael marsh is right--different shots please/displease different people: what works is what works for YOU! 'To thine own self be true...'

I feel the same about my own blurred photographs! I must get over this and realise that they can be great and so much fun, just like this one

I'm pretty humphed about this same thing Ivo. In my critique of my own blurry shots, at minimum one thing in the picture should be sharp while there is evidence of motion elsewhere in the shot. Fantastic subject to capture though! Are you going to show us some of the other shots of this?

This shot totally works for me, but not just because of the blur. I love the "poster" type feeling it gives. The angle and lines are just right too with the heavy saturation. I like it!
