Conehead Mantis (Empusa pennata)

Spotted this Conehead on one of our LED lit Palm Trees at night.

Loved the way she is looking right at the camera.

The males antennae has a feathered appearance meaning this one is a female.

They can grow to around 10cm, this one was about 7cm.

Taken near Sao Marcos da Serra in the Algarve, Portugal.
