Cold Algarve Sunrise

Yes, it does get cold enough for frost in the Algarve. It dropped to a little below freezing over night in the Northern Hills making it a frosty start. As soon as the sun rises the frost goes away almost instantly.

 

The cold also creates the mist coming off the lake.

 

This shot is made up of 3 separate shots of the same scene.

 

There is a shot with focus on the foreground, then an identical exposure with focus on the background. A third shot was taken at f/22 to create the star burst on the sun. The exposure was adjusted to match the first 2 shots.

 

All the shots have then been stacked in Photoshop.
