I'm thinking of doing a string quilt for my daughter. I'd like it to be about the same size as yours, so I'm very, very happy to have found yours!!

How many different fabrics did you use, and about how much did you purchase of each one?? I'd love to have a good idea of how much to order ;-)

Wendy - Besides the white and turquoise, I used 9 different fabrics, and about 3/4 yard of each. (I started with FQ's and then reordered half yards). I had *some* left over, but not a ton. I bought 3 yards of turquoise and probably used a yard or so of the white. I hope that helps – It’s so hard to know what to buy!

Yes!! That helps very much!! It's amazing just how scrappy that pattern looks with only 9 fabrics. Now to do some math ...

It is so nice to know how much fabric you used and I agree with WendyLou, I can't get over how scrappy it looks...this is just fantastic!! I think I'm going to have to do one of these soon!!:)

I used the Anna Maria Horner Good Folks line, and the designs on each print might make it look more scrappy too.

LOVE the white! I have been working on some of these blocks with my scraps and was wondering how to pull them all together - DEFINITELY doing this!
