Polymer Clay Inro with Alcohol Inks & Rust

I made this polymer clay inro form in a class taught by fellow guild member Penni Jo. I then coated the top half with alcohol inks, then used an extruder to create a filigree effect for the bottom half and feet. I then applied the Rust Antiquing Set by Sophisticated Finishes to the filigreed section. This was my first attempt at using the rust set with polymer clay, and I had some trouble -- ended up having to paint over my un-rusted coat with another round of metallic paint and rust finish.

See my blog post for a review of the Rust Antiquing Set & tips on using it with polymer clay to create a rust-like finish: Creating a Rust Effect on Polymer Clay
