Polymer Clay Fabric, After, Plus Canes

    Newer Older

This shows the "fabric" after I ran it through the pasta machine. (See Polymer Clay Fabric, Before for an idea of what I was going for.) Predictably, the larger extruded snakes smooshed over the smaller extruded snakes, hiding those colors completely. I wasn't happy with the results, so I cut off the striped section and rolled it into a cane (left), and made my own red- and white- striped stack to replace it. Lesson learned: always use the same extruder disc thickness if you're creating a pattern to run through the pasta machine.
