Faux Wood Pincushion

I made this pincushion by covering a recycled tin can base with polymer clay. The faux zebrawood was inspired by Carol Blackburn's wood lesson. (Thanks to Penni Jo for her help!) The matching button was created using a button mold made from Amazing Mold Putty. I used cross stitch fabric for the cushion portion (because that's what I had handy).

This one totally reminds me of a chocolate cupcake, BTW, with a rich buttercream icing on top. This may not be the ideal one to sit on *my* craft desk! :-)
