Sprinting Along the C&M Sub

The remaining vestige of Milwaukee Road's eastbound "Sprint" intermodal fleet is Canadian Pacific's Chicago bound 182 train, departing Milwaukee several hours behind its usual schedule in a cacophony of non-turbocharged EMD and General Electric Evolution Series sound. Looking right at home on the C&M high-iron, lead motor 4508 was outshoppped at EMD's La Grange, IL plant as Milwaukee Road 358 and may very well have charged up Lake Hill in orange and black with a load of pigs dutifully following some twenty-five years ago.
