This is the West side of the Schepp Barn. You can see the wooden grain bins and on the left side a little of the ramp that leads up to the north entrance. The delivery aisle goes above the opening in the wooden grain bins. In the ground in the middle of the opening through the grain bins is a huge cistern that collected rain water from the roofs. The black squares in the limestone connect to cables that run across the limestone barn and are part of the original design. In this picture you can not see the long (south) side of the barn, so you don't realize how large it is. This is a really unique and interesting barn. Was built in 1905 and is located in Waubaunsee county Kansas.
