Mountain View Park is located near Gainesville, GA on Lake Lanier. When the water is low, it is one of my most favorite places to shoot Lanier. It is quite popular with local bank fisherman as it has a nice secluded beach area from which to fish
I have posted several images from this particular evening. It's ironic in the sense that when I was walking along the lake shore to this location I wasn't convinced what the sky was going to do yet. It looked "good" but iffy. As it turned out I got several images I'm really happy with that evening.
I think it may be that unpredictability that makes chasing skies so worthwhile, and really... I enjoy them all anyway. Being outside watching the day end is never a bad way to spend it.
