Horsetrough Falls are located in north Georgia in the Mark Trail Wilderness area at the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River as it flows off of Horsetrough Mountain. In approximately 500 miles, the water that flows over will dump into the Gulf of Mexico.
The falls are roughly 70ft. high and the surrounding area is thick with lush vegetation. Waterflow tends to be relatively light in all but the winter months or after a significant rain in the area.
This is a frontal view of Horsetrough Falls. If you compare this one to the last that I uploaded you quickly see that the last one is actuallt just the right half of the falls. If the water levels are low enough...it's the only half.
I love catching some green in the foreground when possible, especially when it is winter and you don't see enough of it. :)
