War Hill Park is a large park on the north end of Lake Lanier in Dawsonville, GA. It has campsites, beaches, grills, etc. for overnight and day visitors. Apparently there are plans to turn the park into a public marina, which does not sit well with many of the locals. Signs can be seen in front yards saying "Save War Hill Park".
From a photographic standpoint it has a few very interesting features and can be effectively shot at either sunrise and sunset for great reflections.
I had quite forgotten about shooting at War Hill this particular evening, but happened to be scrolling through recent images that still needed some sorting and got reminded. I was very tempted to title this one "Liquid Metal" as sometimes the reflections have a light and the water a texture that reminds me of metallic objections.
I'm off to find something to shoot this morning, I have a waterfall in mind that I haven't visited in quite sometime.
