P1080885 Tooting Bec, SW17

"Stockbroker Tudor" style or "Mock Tudor".

With the advent of the tranis in Victorian times, it was made easier for londoners to abandon the city's smog for the fresh air of the countryside, which became withing commuting distance.

Soon, London;s satellite villages, such as Tooting bec merged with London to become a leafy surburb of terraced, semi-detached and detached house, a lot of which were in a pseudo Tudor style known unkindly as "Mock Tudor" or "Stockbroker Tudor".
