Indian Rock Dam 75th Anniversary Commemoration and Open House

Indian Rock Dam has been reducing flood risks for York and other downstream communities since it was initially completed in 1942. It has helped prevent at least $55 million in flood damages.

The public was invited to join the Army Corps to tour the inside of the dam’s gatehouse and learn more from Army Corps personnel about the history of the dam and its operations.
