Home away from home

Animal science and agricultural science student Betsey McKenna will be spending her spring semester at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire, U.K. as its first American exchange student. She is there as part of a new international exchange between the two schools. The first students from Harper Adams to study at Cornell will do so from August this year, with two students expected to attend. As Betsey told a university reporter: “Everybody has been so warm and welcoming. I’ve moved into one of the flats in the halls of residence and my flat mates have been great… the accents are thick and the weather is cool, but there is nothing warmer than the hearts of the students and the faculty.” You can follow her adventures abroad on her blog.
