Corran Lighthouse, Scottish Highlands
Much better large on black flickr2.netbits.co.uk/large/photo/2676156169
We stayed in Kilchoan during our Scottish holiday and the best route is to take the Corran ferry which runs every 20 mins in summer. This is just about enough time for me to get the camera out, mess about with the 10-stop filter, take a shot, before rushing back to the car to be waved on to the ferry.
This was one of those shots I hate taking. If you've read my stream then you'll know I don't like taking pics with strangers looking on. I was at the front of the ferry queue so all the rest of the cars had a great view of me crawling around with a tripod trying a low angle, pointing the lens at what must have seemed liked nothing, and screwing on dark filters to the lens. I enjoy photography but loathe looking like such a geek in public :-)
