Lichfield star trails

Looks like I had the same idea as one of my contacts - KingKobra - last night and took advantage of the clear skys to capture star trails.

This is 120 30sec exposures blended together in photoshop. I took a total of 160 but the last 40 suffered from dew collecting on the lens and a street light in the bottom left corner illuminated all the dew on the lens.

The light pollution looks worse than it was. There were a few whispy clouds wandering across the sky, some of which I applied a layer mask to but there were many that I missed.

The church is St Michael's in Lichfield, Staffordshire, which is half a mile from where I work. The most difficult part of the process was lining up Polaris with the tip of spire.
