Camilla Park Clean Up
Mississauga, 21 May 2015: Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club, our family members, youth volunteers and community members joined hands on May 21, 2015 for a special international service event. Lions Worldwide Week of Service during May 2015 brought Lions around the world together to serve their communities and support their goal of helping 100 million people by the 100th anniversary of Lions Clubs International in 2017. The Lions Worldwide Week of Service, which runs May 16-22, 2015, was a great opportunity for the community to get involved in service and learn more about the Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club.

The club hosted the Mississauga Cooksville Lions Community Park Cleanup on May 21, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Camilla Park, Mississauga, L5A 2J6. This event saw members of the Mississauga Cooksville Lions Club, our family members, youth volunteers and the community around the park coming together to show that we care about our environment. This project also included a donation drive on behalf of Our Place Peel, the only emergency youth shelter in the Region of Peel. Participants donated a box full of wishlist items to the shelter.
