Tau Emerald (Hemicordulia tau)

These dragonflies were in there hundreds along the coast towards the end of autumn. They were feeding on small insects.


Inhibits pools, lakes, ponds and swaps. In this case, I found them along the coast near Ocean Grove. They tolerate a wide thermal range and is between 22 - 24 mm long. They are considered to be a large specie.
