Spring Thoughts on a Gray Day

The dark gray / almost black portion is the natural color of "regular" (i.e., non-polished, non-stainless) steel that has been "blued" to help* preserve it against rust. The orange, pink, and yellow colors were added as torch-fired, powdered-glass enamel.

33 x 21 x 8 mm

This piece will be on exhibit at (and available for purchase at) the Cranberry Artists Network's spring "Drip Drizzle and Splash" show, from March 12 through April 5, 2018.

Public Reception: Thursday, March 22, 2018 6:00-8:00 p.m.

*Note: Any method of bluing steel (thermal, chemical, etc.) will HELP prevent rust. But they cannot prevent it entirely! Thus, it is not advisable to wear such jewelry items while showering, bathing, swimming, etc. If they do get wet, dry them thoroughly as soon as possible.
