BADGE - Scotland - East Lothian Constabulary cap badge (Kings Crown)

Part of my collection of Scottish Police insignia

An "anonymous" badge in that the title states only "County Police" but it is the only force which used that badge.

Interestingly, its near neighbour Peebles-shire had only "County Constabulary" on its badge - but in any case it was of a different style.

East Lothian subsquently merged with the Constabularies of Mid Lothian and West Lothian and Peebles-shire to form Lothian & Peebles Constabulary, which in turn became part of Lothian & Borders Police in 1975.
