Ben Wyvis and Kessock Bridge from Milton of Leys Inverness Scotland

Even on a dull and overcast day - with wee blanket of mist lurking just east of the Bridge - the view from Milton of Leys, overlooking the City of Inverness, is amazing.

This shot was taken from just in front of the lovely new primary school - necessitating severe cropping to remove the roofs of houses lying directly below the school's all-weather MUGA playing field.

When plans were first mooted for housing on this steeply sloping brae between Old Edinburgh Road (South) and the A9 Inverness/Perth Road at Drumossie Brae, it was dismissed out-of-hand by many. Now, 20 years on, a whole new large community exists known as Milton of Leys, complete with a superb access road to Inshes - and the views on the way down that road are spectacular (albeit spoiled by the presence of so many street lights intruding!!)
