PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 20, 2010) - A MH-60S Knighthawk from the "Island Knights" of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron (HSC) lowers cargo onto the flight deck of USS George Washington (CVN 73) during a vertical replenishment at sea (VERTREP) with Military Sealift Command's dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7). The ability to replenish its ships at sea contributes to the Navy's vast reach and continued mission readiness. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is currently underway helping to ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
