Journeys Festival, Standing In My Own Truth
Standing in My Own Truth is a cross-art exploration of the brave, often circuitous journey towards one’s own destiny.

Liberated from the shackles of an old life, but still yearning for a time of innocence in a land far away. Making a new life in a baffling city that offers sanctuary but no peace of mind. Yet still finding time to rejoice in a song or two.

Presented as part of the Journeys Festival International (produced by ArtReach), this soulful and intimate theatre piece was created with, and is performed by women from refugee and migrant heritages as part of CAN’s Exodus programme.
