//Log-TK-3647-'Blaze'

I have always been loyal to the Empire. This time they have have pushed it too far. As we stepped off 'Invictus' every squadron was assigned an AA artillery unit to mark with a radio flare. We were assigned AA gun placement B-5. The last, least important one. Of course. We were already overwhelmed by this assignment before we got here. I mean were just losely thrown together, Scorch and I, just tossed into the heat of battle. We then marched from the southern landing point to our designated target. The walk was brutal. Sands lashed at us and the sun blared at its maximun strength. After three hours of walking along the barren wastelands of Geonosis we reached the canon. It was carved into a cliff side with walk ways around it that were exposed. It looked as if this sturcture was somewhat new. Odd, I wonder where they are getting the money to fund projects like this. Scorch and I then just simply "invited ourselves in at the front door". The facility wasn't very hard to take over and Scorch took over from that point. He darted around nailing each one of the buggers with his rifle with the rarity of using his vibroblade in "unique" ways to finish his buisness. we made our way quickly to the highest floor and drove our way to the control center. It lay directly behind the canon with its holo-pad sensor units to manage a more accurate anti-aircraft strike. Scorch kneeled down and leveled his rifle once again and defended me while I tapped into the mainframe of the computers in order to posssibly amplify the radio flares signal. That was when everything turned against. The drones were coming in at a faster rate in greater numbers due to reinforcements, but were instructed to keep a low profile. Too late I said, too late. The computer wasn't responding quickly enough to my commands and we didn't have a lot of time. I finally started to get some progress done until I got slammed into the along with the computers, now in pieces by a Geonosian warrior. I struggled to undo his grip on my and he was slowly gaining the upperhand, but by the second his tempo increased drasticlly. Then a sickening thump followed by a burst of blood and the tip of a vibroblade sticking out its right eye. I pushed the body off of me and hurried back to work. I was going to have to end this job manually. Great, this is going to attract every bug in a radius of 10 miles and the catacombs are in range. The catacombs I thought, no one wanted to enter that. I slipped the flare out of my belt wrapping around my leg and activated it. I threw it in the wedges of the grill plates where nobody would find it. Then on my comm. signal I recieved a message that inttitled,"5 minutes till orbital counterstrike". "We have to get the hell out of here NOW!" I yelled. We jumped the railing to the second level and created a loud bang. 6 drones came after us, but we quickly made history of them as we rushed through the facility. "One more floor," I whispered to myself. We sprinted through the entrance, a winding path that cut through the part of the cliff and we dashed off into the hot sands. "10 seconds until orbital counterstrike," the cold, robotic voice intoned. We kept running until the blast from the explosion ripped us from the ground and sent us hurdling into the skies. This was the end. No more. Just death...
