How the Flowers grew upon the place that we lay

A Sea witch saved me from drowning

On a storm dark chill winter's day

She dragged me up a steep shore of howling pine

To an enchanted hollow in the half frozen hay

In the dim storm-light with phosphorous wereing

She revived me with her sibylline charms

And my strength so dearly ebbed

Revived forthwith in the swell of her spells

Somehow from out of that wilderness I stumbled away

And In summers fine health I returned to that frontier land

And fell to my knees and wept when I saw

How the Flowers grew upon the place that we lay

Do inhale the scent of the flowers
