The Tank Graveyard...

I recently visited Taji and was showed around the Tank Graveyard - miles of destroyed, broken down and dumped Iraqi armoured vehicles and guns.

Virtually all of them were covered in grafitti - it seems to be a thing to send a message back home "Happy Birthday Marie" and "I love you Jeanie" with a photo of the words painted on the side of a smashed up armoured vehicle.

There is something uniquely sad about the way a dead tank looks...

    Wow what a site!

Seen a few tanks at Bovington that were brought back from Iraq, can only imagine what this place must have been like.

I saw a gen-u-ine TIALD pod painted with a (Viz) Tracy the Fat Slag logo today, downstairs from your old desk. Although I wanted to know what happened to the Sandra pod.

The sight of one of (your) tanks with a hole from an RPG is something that you will never forget, I promise you...............

It's the drooping gun that does it.... It's probably a male thing...Lost it's potency and on the scrap heap. Or maybe it's just time for tank viagra?

    Hey... great shot!

Hi Colonel Killgore, a great shot! I like it very much!
Maybe you would like to post some of your pictures on www.military-vehicle-photos.com
I think the visitors over there would like that very much.
