American White Pelicans 2

    Newer Older

The stars of todays show were the American White Pelicans! Out of 178 shots I collected today, 127 were of these graceful fliers! I'll post more tomorrow! That bump on the beak is the marker for a Breeding adult. It will fall off after the chicks have hatched. I found one chick feeding adult in the flock, I'll post it latter today.

That bump thing is weird. What purpose does a marker serve? Is it like a preggo woman's shirt that says "Baby 2010" with a giant arrow? What if people's parts fell off afer giving birth?

But most important is that the photos is wonderful!

Good job getting these guys in sharp focus like this in the air.
