The Cebu flickr group decided to push through with our mountain climbing adventure. Four of us, including our active mountaineering guide Tet and Marvin started at 7AM from the City of Cebu and went about 90km southwards, to the town of Dalaguete, renowned for the fresh vegetable market of the Mantalongon mountains. From the town center of Dalaguete, we took a habal-habal motorcycle tranposrt to Mantalongon.
This picture was taken noontime at the Mantalongon vegetable market. I had several photos of the wicker baskets with various vegetables right at its source, about 3 kilometers farther into the 1,000m Osmeña Peak which we climbed. However, the heaps of sayotes, carrots and cabbages are nothing compared to this image of how they actually get moved around. Yes, by the power of the neck and back.
