Every lady is expected to do this right in Bali. And the balancing is as difficult as it looks. Although it helps to keep the 3 to 4-foot gebogan offerings heavy, the 10-15 kg weight by itself is by no means easy to carry. My Balinese best friend said that practice for her was ferrying 20 liters or kg (44 lbs) of water in a jug on her head from the public well to her house when she was young. So she actually snubbed this, saying that the offerings are not really that tall or heavy.
