Late night shopper

After work I went for a ride down to the dodgy end of chapel street where it's all bong shops and bars. The sun was setting so the light was good but it was a bit cold in the shade. I hung about there for quite a while, asked a few people and got knocked back. As I was getting ready to leave I spotted a girl across the road and when I went over she accepted. I took a couple of shots before she said to me "You're making me pretty self conscious right now". It showed through in the photos; she was fidgeting or looking away in all of them. So unfortunately I couldn't use any of them, but didn't realise until I got home.

So I decided I had to head out again to get my stranger for the day. I rode over to the shops to buy some coat hangers and then waited out the front where I could use the light from the windows. This woman came out a few people after me with a shopping cart. When I asked her to move into better light she took a step back and her cart went wild so we ended up in much the same position. I also shot this with my shutter speed set too high, so I've got noise from the high ISO I used to compensate. That said I'm pretty happy with this shot, just because of the multi coloured bokeh.

This is the fifty seventh portrait of my attempt at the 100 strangers project.
