Head and shoulders

    Newer Older

This guy was originally hesitant to take part. I pushed the point a little, asking him if he was in a rush and saying that it'd only take a second. He then asked what kind of photo I was going to take. I wasn't exactly sure what he meant so I answered "Just head and shoulders". He seemed content with that and let me fire off a single shot. I'm lucky I'd managed to guess my settings ahead of time because I've got no experience metering for dark skin.

This is the fourteenth portrait of my attempt at the 100 strangers project.

Great Portrait! You can see the curiosity in his face.
Did you ask where he was from?

If only by looking into someones eyes we could literally read their experiences and put pen to paper, we would all be best selling author's.
      Great portrait..
