Don't you mean the plot thickens?
After taking a quick circular route of the suburbs, I came across a highway, where I learned a couple of things about Americans and cars.
Cars are designed for highways, and highways are designed for nothing except cars. Not even a pedestrian crossing that I could use. So I turned around, and on my way back, came across a short trail with a bike sign.
At this point, I was halfway along it, but the trail didn't really narrow.
