I got a $15 micro-cassette player (top right) for the purpose of playing back a tape recorded with my grandmother back in 1994 (she passed away in 2003). The headphone output of the tape player is routed to my Edirol R-09 digital recorded (center) so now I have her voice digitized.
The audio quality is fair, considering the medium. I want this to share with the family, but am thinking about pulling out her old stories (she was born in 1905) into some sort of digital story.
It was warming to hear her voice again, as well as my Dad (passed away in 2001) chiming in from the background.
