For a few years, such little black and white squares have made their appearance on a growing number of print media. Only after someone pointed them out to me and gave me the name (QR code) did I notice them around me. In Japan, they are ubiquitous, and most camera-phones can read them and instantly connect to the desired website in this case to look up nutrition information. Another use is to quickly get namecard data into your cameraphone. Exposed with plain sunlight through double-glazed window.
