" MONTBLANC POPE JULIUS II FP
Item No: 35570 F
Pope Julius II supported Michelangelo and Raphael, among others, and commissioned the famous frescoes in the Sistine Chapel and ordered the design and construction of St. Peter’s. Montblanc's 2005 Patron of the Arts Limited Edition, is a gold overlay over a cream-colored, lacquered base, reminiscent of the colors of the papal gowns. The pen is crowned with a cap that bears resemblance to the shape of the papal crown, and the nib is engraved with the Pontifex Maximum coat of arms. Limited edition of 4,810 writing instruments worldwide."
The version here is jeweled with diamonds, rubies, and incredible enamel inlays, in 18k gold and white gold. There are very few in the United States, and each is a special collector pen, engraved by hand and signed with a number. Each is unique in some way from the others of the series.
(BTW, after I work so long on the Miami, Arizona ghost town images, I thought a break would be nice to go to the other extreme of "life" in these United States.)
