A Special 5, Caille's Quintette

This number 5 on the antique slot machine designates that five people could play it at one time! This poker gambling machine is one of the most rare of the Caille products, this one made about 1901.

This image is NOT a macro. It is a tiny cropped area out of one of the five images I got of this antique slot machine seen at the Arizona Historical Museum in Tempe, Arizona on Museum Day, 9/26/09. This image had to be shot from about 8' away due to the gallery ropes. All images were taken with my Canon 40D and the 60mm EF-S f/2.8 lens. Seeing the group may give an idea just how good this lens is in order to be able to pull out detailed crops from each frame.

See links with other photos in this group for online sources about the Caille slot machine, gum vendors and other gambling machines.
