I hate it when people ask if I'm lost... First, as a man I never get lost. Second, as a photographer I simply end up seeing more of the world. If we hadn't gotten "lost" then this shot never would have happened. We made the "wrong" turn after a night with friends in Long Beach and ended up in the Queen Mary's parking lot, the fact that there was nowhere to turn around and that the first 30min are free meant that I got to run out of the car and grab this shot. Spontaneous adventure is always fun.
As for the shot, this is a 3 shot HDR, shot with my handy Gorillapod, processed in Camera Raw, CS6, and some Nik software. They had some really really nasty yellow lights just behind this that left some awful tints to the foreground and the ship, thankfully Nik is really good at correcting it.
