Flick's Point of View
"A Bug's Life" was always one of my favorite Disney/Pixar movies as a child, I would watch it over and over without ever getting tired of it. I think the Imagineers have done a great job on this section of DCA, while not part of the original DCA it definitely was a good addition to the park. Most of the time it gets forgotten off in the corner but if you take the time to go through this area slowly you begin to notice all the little touches that make this area unique. Things like using old animal cracker cookie boxes as the design for the vending carts, an upside-down tissue box as the restroom building, and of course this giant spigot sticking out of the ground spraying water to cool you down on a hot day. All of these little touches help create that forced perspective that Disney is so good at and you really begin to feel like you are immersed in a grassy lawn or field.
As for the shot this is a 3 shot HDR run through Photomatix, CS5, and some Nik software.
