The Court of Angels in Disneyland's New Orleans Square is such a beautiful and lavish place. The fact that it's secluded away in the corner away from most guests makes it a pretty quiet place to be. I had several people come through the archway looking to see what I was doing and then they realized "oh, he's only taking pictures of a staircase, it's not a ride...". Oh people, not everything worth enjoying at Disneyland is an attraction! Sometimes you have to marvel at the ornate detail and thought that goes into buildings and areas even if there is no obvious reason for it. I titled this shot like I did because this stairway leads to the second story of New Orleans Square, while I have not had the privilege to go up there myself (sure hope I get to someday!), it is home to the famous but still private Club 33 and the Disney Dream Suite (yes I know this is not the traditional entrance to either of those). Both of which I would love to experience at least once in my life but for now I'm still stuck on the ground looking up.
As for the shot, this is a 3 shot HDR tonemapped in Photomatix, CS5, and some Nik software.
