Shanghai - Money Magnet
Revisited - while shooting the neighbouring Jin Mao Tower I noted that the ceiling came so low that the SWFC's top created a wake in the clouds. A previous night shot of this sculpture and the SWFC was done in a rather hazy night, creating completely different cloud/sky/light effects.
The actual name of this tall sculpture by Liu Jianhua is "Global Magnet" and the Chinese name is just one word: "磁" (cí ="Magnet") - it stands 17.5 m tall in front of the SWFC. ( For further detail please refer to the description plate posted below.)
