Shanghai - Xintiandi

Narrow lanes and stone arches.

Xintiandi is a fashionable small district of clubs, restaurants and boutiques in an area of redeveloped Shikumen. Shikumen (石库门, literally "stone gate") are a type of early 1900s tenement unique to Shanghai.

The hottest new entertainment district in Shanghai. As it's in the area of the 1921 founding meeting of the Chinese Communist Party one could say high-price shopping and dining is a revolutionary way of celebrating the birth of the Communist Party.
