Photos and sketchnotes of my trip in India in March 2016.
I prepared the trip alone and travelled solo. This means that my journey began months before the real departure, see my "One month before" sketchnotes.
I started the trip with a 3-day tour by car to Delhi, Jaipur, Fatephur Sikri, and Agra. Amarjeet, my fantastic driver, and I became friends quickly and he offered me to visit sites like beautiful temples outside the official program. I also asked him to left aside the main road, where possible, to better discover and meet people. This led me to visit a small and poor school in Abhaneri where I distributed notebooks and pencils to children. I was so flooded by their smiles and stars in their eyes that this moment is my biggest emotion of the first week.
Then I went by train to Haridwar where I was impressed by the Aari Ganga ceremony. One day after I joined Rishikesh by tuk tuk (25km by tuk tuk!!).
Then I had my retreat of one week in the Phool Chatti ashram, north of Rishikesh. A great inspiring experience!
I hope that part of the strong feelings and big emotions I experienced during my stay in India will arrive to you and touch you through my photos and my drawings.
