      We don't get much warbling in our back yard. Lots of wonderful Cardinal songs, plenty of surprisingly strong and lovely House Finch singing...even plenty of enjoyable Baltimore Oriole song. (Plus all of the RWBB cacophony and Grackle screeches.) We just don't see many warblers.

      Now this looks like it might be a female Goldfinch. They don't usually stay around long enough to sing, so I don't know what they sound like. They hit the thistle seed feeder, then vamoose.

      Saw my first male goldfinch of the season, summer plumage, the other day. Always a welcome sight!

      This here, looks like it might be a molting male, with the black cap not appeared yet but the yellow starting to come out nicely? Hard to say for sure. Maybe a female giving the alarm? :)
