On April 26, 1986 the worst nuclear disaster in history happened at the Chernobyl NPP.
26 years later, the 30km exclusíon zone surrounding the power plant is still one of the most radioactively contaminated areas in the world and will remain uninhabitable for the foreseeable future.
I visited the Chernobyl exclusion zone and the abandoned city of Pripyat several times since 2012.
