      The pup is wondering what the creature around the girl's shoulders could be..I remember dressing in my granny's fox furs, when I was younger.The glass eyes, and the little faux tortoiseshell clasp, and the limp,dangling paws...(the fur, not me!!)

      bootpainter I had a teacher in elementary school that used to wear a fox stole all the time. It had three or four foxes biting each others tails. I thought it was so bizarre, and I had a hard time paying attention to my lessons for looking at the foxes.

      I had a childrens' fox fur stole when I was real little - like 3 or 4 years old (so about 1962) that I played dress-up with...I remember the old, grandmother-aged ladies I knew then talking about how they were glad the synthetic fur collars were now on their coats...
